Here's a wonderful eclectic selection from my little brother all they way from the south coast - for the moment at least!

Scott's always been a "Soul-Boy" - Well what do you expect with a father who started off loving Jazz and evolved into a top Soul/Disco DJ in the 1970's and a older brother who bombarded him with mix-tapes in the early 80's!  He very much kept the musical-flag flying  for the family throughout the late 80's and most of the 90's when I stopped buying new music - And was lucky enough to catch both Teena Marie and Phyllis Hyman live on the same bill at an early Caister weekender - And was one of the people who persuaded me to start buying new music again at the end of the 1990's.  So you can blame him!

I'm 44, I live in Brittany, by the sea, in the West of France. I have listening soul funk jazz since i was fifteen.I remembered to buy my first LP like it was yesterday...George Benson "in flight", it was a "revelation" about this style of music.
after I discovered classic funk artists, like D TRAIN, SOS BAND, GAP BAND...and i had a little collection of LP'S (six hundred). my favorite period is the "golden ages" 1981/1984, and lot of people in France like this years...
I remembered to listen english stations in early 80's like radio ONE or radio Luxembourg on MW,(les ADAMS' shows for example), it was great!!!
I was DJ on radio station in West of France in 1985 during 2 years, great experience!!
Now, with the net it's absolutely fantastic, to listen lot of podcasts with many tracks of soul, funk and jazz funk, with passionated DJ's.
every time, i listen a 80's tracks i never heard  before, it's so exciting!!!

From 1995 'till recently I worked for several local radio stations in the Netherlands and I always tried to play as much 'black' music as I could. Since April 2008 I have a daily show on the new Brussels based online station Laid Back Radio http://www.laid-back.be/blog/.  My one hour show is called 'Soul Searching' http://www.laid-back.be/player/grid.xm . I try to play the best soul music from the last 40 years. For me soul music began in the mid sixties when James Brown invented the funk with 'Papa's got a brand new bag'. The Laid Back people gave me the nickname 'professor Eddy' because of my musical knowledge (well, that's what they tell me, probably my glasses have something to do with it as well...). In March I did a mix, 'Soul Variations' (http://www.laid-back.be/blog/?p=823) for the weekly Laid Back Show on the local radio station FM Brussels. This show is broadcasted every Wednesday from 22.00 - 23.00 hrs CET. (http://www.fmbrussel.be/programmas/laid_back.aspx)

BIO:
I am a Dj emerged from the slums, a kid started doing experiments and mixers with disco music did not want the big discotheques of my city. Being in a post-disco music era, in the decade of the 80's, for 25 years I have had to collect different discs and have the opportunity to contribute my collection to various radio stations in my city in Monterrey, Mexico. When disco refers I'm ready to collaborate. Here is a compilation of great dance songs of the disco music that touched me to contribute and besides that make are my favorites... I worked in the promotions department of a Television station (The WB, FOX) for over 20 years as an art director/producer. I started listening to and collecting disco and dance music back in the 70's as a very young teenager. I was known for my mix tapes that I would give away as presents, and eventually cds with custom cover designs. I started blogging a few years ago posting my rare music and just recently began mixing - special thanks to PULSE for turning me on to the mixing software! Here's my Donna Summer State Of IndepenDANCE set featuring mostly club tracks she's released during the last decade with a few from her Crayons release - hope it gets you dancin'!

PP integrates his passion and knowledge for various types of 60's and 70's organic and electronic music into a melting pot of dance music as both a producer and
as a remixer, causing many to call his acid-disco.
He operates under a plethora of monikers for a multitude of real and imaginary underground and indy record labels.

He started his own label, MARS Records, a subsidiary of Multimedia Art Systems (MM Centre he founded) and begun releasing his hyper-production of remixing,
producing mix-sets and mixing live.

His first release came in 2005, Acid Fury, followed by Hot Fusion, a collection of concept remixes and mixes, reaching most success with remixes of Devil's Gun,
Funkytown, Loving Is Really My Game etc.
His most popular original work remains Dead Cat Bounce from 2007.

Throughout the remainder of the decade, he continues releasing his productions under many aliases and had even more success as a remixer and DJ.
